The Programme has been designed by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure in collaboration with ODIMM and with the help of  the technical assistance of the European Union Project "Quality Infrastructure in the context of DCFTA". This tool aims at developing a complex system of support for enterprises with a large potential for growth and internationalization.

INTERNATIONALIZATION - ENGINE FOR SME GROWTH

In a globalized world, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) must be able to withstand the increasing competition on behalf of developed and emerging economies and to benefit from the market opportunities that these countries offer. There is a direct connection between internationalization and the development of SMEs. International activities strengthen economic growth and employment, increase competitiveness and support the long-term sustainability of enterprises. However, domestic SMEs still depend, to a large extent, on their internal markets, despite the opportunities offered by the wider EU single market and globalization, in general.

The state Programme “Growth and Internationalization” comes in response to the need of entrepreneurs to cross the country's borders overcoming mental barriers that we all have when it comes to business.

This Programme provides support to SMEs on applying international practices in order to boost their productivity and competitiveness, and the applicants will benefit from advisory support and training on developing entrepreneurship skills through the “Business Voucher” scheme, and financial support through the "Grant" scheme.

In the context of the Covid-19 crisis, the situation of SMEs from Moldova is worsening, but internationalization, the “Born Global” mentality and exports will become more relevant than ever. Therefore, entrepreneurs who will plant the seeds of internationalization next year will protect their companies in the future.
