Project Description
Cities in the Danube region face challenges to develop a culture that generates public-private synergies, to promote SMEs and to stimulate creative urban communities. Therefore, the RESTART_4Danube project aims at providing a professional and feasible response to the challenges associated with developing a strong culture in the creative industries sector during COVID-19, generating public / private synergies that increase the competitiveness of SMEs for the creative regeneration of cities.
Expected results:
• a common strategy on creative urban regeneration for the Danube region,
• a new set of tools for Creative Urban Regeneration,
• the 5 Local Action Plans,
• a package of Cooperation Agreements between enterprises and research & development institutions,
• a package of Readiness Level Audits,
• a training toolkit with modules on Creativity and Urban
Governance and on Urban Innovation Management.
Partnership structure and role of ODIMM
The partnership consists of 25 organizations from 12 partner countries and is coordinated by the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Romania. The project uses a "quadruple helix" approach through the collaboration of 11 public authorities, 7 companies and business support organizations, 4 higher education and research institutions and 3 civil society actors. The countries participating in the RESTART_4Danube project, in addition to Moldova, are: Romania, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Austria, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Serbia and Estonia.
Having an important role within the consortium, ODIMM will contribute to the successful implementation of all work packages within the project and will facilitate the participation of the Business Incubator from Cahul (IACH) as an associated partner of the project and direct beneficiary of good practices offered by the project.
